De Salis Studio College is an outstanding school for students aged 14 to 19, which offers a choice of educational pathways that support academic excellence. In addition, De Salis students benefit from a unique learning environment that replicates the workplace. Students study criminology and law in a purpose built law court, economics and finance in the bank or on a professional trading floor, and retail in a fully functioning shop unit.
Our highly skilled and dedicated teachers, deliver an innovative Key Stage 4 and Post 16 curriculum in bespoke, state-of-the-art facilities. The tour of the school was led by two Student Ambassadors who were keen to show off the very attractive open plan learning spaces that are such a feature of this new school, with themed areas designed to give the school a more business style atmosphere. There were various areas where parents could pop into school to chat with staff, either openly or in the smaller confidential spaces provided for that purpose. In the reception area information is available for parents about safeguarding. There is also a Parents’ Information Board which is kept up to date by the Student Ambassadors.

Temperatures in Hayes are forecast to exceed 30°C this week. To support the comfort and wellbeing of all pupils and students, we have implemented the following measures: Blazers and ties are not required • Pupils and students are encouraged to wear their PE kit • Pupils and students should bring a full water bottle to remain hydrated throughout the day • Pupils and students are advised to apply sun cream before they leave for school. Our site team will be arriving early each morning to ventilate classrooms and help maintain a cooler environment. Where appropriate, some lessons may be relocated to cooler areas; form tutors will notify pupils and students of any such changes. We will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and make any necessary adjustments. The health, safety, and wellbeing of our pupils and students remain our highest priority.
